Following up the success of Transport Day 2014 in Lima, Peru the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT Partnership), together with Bridging the Gap Initiative (BtG Initiative), and the Michelin Challenge Bibendum (MCB) will organize a Transport Day in 2015 on Sunday December 6th, 2015, in the context of COP21 in Paris, France.
Transport Day 2015 will be hosted by the International Union of Railway at their headquarters in Paris, France. The full day event will bring international experts on transport and climate change to discuss the contribution sustainable, low carbon transport can make to climate change discussions. The Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport and Bridging the Gap Initiative organized Transport Day 2014 on Sunday December 7th, in the context of COP20. Transport Day 2014 took place at Sheraton Lima Hotel in Lima, Peru. In its second year, the slogan of Transport Day is “Transport Tackles Climate Change @ COP20”. The event brought together over 200 international experts on transport and climate change to discuss the contribution sustainable, low carbon transport can make to climate change discussions.

Transport Day 2013 took place on 17 November 2013, in Warsaw, Poland, alongside the 19th Conference of the Parties (COP19) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The motto of Transport Day 2013 was “Rethink Transport and Climate Change”. The full-day event was hosted in Hyatt Regency Warsaw, and it brought together more than 200 experts, civil society representatives, multilateral development banks and international organizations.
Transport Day 2013 was co-organized by the Bridging the Gap initiative (BtG) and the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT).
