Informal Hearings & Intergovernmental Meeting

Informal Intergovernmental Negotiations (September 7-10)

At the Closing Plenary session of PrepCom3 the Preparatory Committee decided to hold informal intergovernmental negotiations led by the co-facilitators in September 2016 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The final intergovernmental negotiations before the Habitat Conference concluded with the release of the Agreed Draft of the New Urban Agenda which is expected to adopted in Quito.

Informal Intergovenmental Meetings (June 27-July 1)

In May and June 2016, Informal Hearings and Intergovernmental Meeting on the New Urban Agenda- the expected outcome document of the Habitat III Conference- took place in New York, United States.

The final Informal Intergovernmental Meetings of these meetings were held between June 27-July 1 in preparation of the Habitat III Conference in Quito in October.

Informal Hearings with Stakeholders (June 6-7) & Informal Intergovenmental Meetings (June 8-10)

SLoCaT Partnership was represented by Ramón Cruz from Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) in the Informal Hearings with Stakeholders on June 6th and 7th.  Ramon Cruz delivered a statement on behalf of SLoCaT Partnership and ITDP at the Key Recommendations By Co-Chairs Of The General Assembly Of Partners Panel on the first day, as well as the Effective Implementation Panel on the second day of the Informal Hearings with Stakeholder Groups. Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) Report launched a report on the both meetings.
